anonymous asked a while ago 'howd the rest of yer crop turn out' or something
well anonymous, thing is im still growing non stop like some kinda gardening demon
this year i started out with my spotlight crops being corn and beans..
and have been successful so far, and have learned alot especially regarding corn.
even though i still managed to do it mostly wrong, i still produced some corn and still
harvesting, but im about to pull it and start a pumpkin patch in the spot where my corn is growing now.
anyway, enough talk. lets get down to business.
right below was another failure, i was trying to grow big table sized purple onions
but instead i produced these little bite sized beautys. oh well, pretty sure it was the depth
i planted that caused this. purple headed monster.
been studying the mayan technique of maize hanging, below is a sad attempt to
copy their way of doing this with some pre mature white and yellow cobs.
i learned along time ago how to grow cucumbers,
heres some of this years produce.
im a cucumber master.
vines. in typical turd fashion.
using old trampoline parts and welded wire.
my oldest son though i needed bling, so he went and
won me a watch out of 'the claw'
when i wear this makes me feel like i got dolla bills
this yellow corn is so sweet
here is my showcase.
growing jungle fruit as usual. this is necessary for survival.
this time im growing two plants on the back porach
i think i will do this every year, keeps cut worms to a minimum and
the critters at bay.
homegrown pablano stuffed w/rice n broccoli and a corn fresh out of the patch.
c'mon
jalapenos like always, a must for the turd diet.
this concludes todays post. every now and then i must be serious
i know its not what most readers want to read about here
but deal with it. since im getting old and everything
its stuff like this that is therapeutic to me
and seems to be one of my favorite things to learn about and do.
and making post about it helps me with my writing skills,
which i know needs improvement.
also i get inspiration from other peoples gardening,
so sometimes i give back - maybe this will be inspiration for other folks
to grow their own food too.
